These grills allow you to prepare meats more quickly than baking or frying, are healthier in general, and allow the fat to drain off of the meat while it cooks.

Another item that you will likely want to purchase, if you do not already have one, is a blender. A blender is important for preparing your kitchen for low carb cooking, because you will often want to drink protein or other diet shakes. While these shakes can be made without a blender, the blender will serve to mix the shakes more thoroughly, making them taste better and helping you to avoid the chalky taste that can accompany most health shakes.

Once you have prepared your kitchen for low carb cooking, sticking to your low carb diet will be much easier and affordable. Don't worry about your family being upset that you got rid of their favorite high carb foods. With the right cook books and snack choices, your family won't miss those high carb foods.
