Busy people are often those who do not eat healthy and have a hard time following diets. Why? Because the busier we are, the quicker we want our food ready, eaten, and done with so that we can move on to bigger, better, and more important matters. Order some lettuce to put on each side to make a sandwich. Most fast food restaurants also now have options for what you can have for a side with your meal. Instead of being stuck with high carb French fries, you have your choice of getting a salad. Some fast food restaurants have this option available to you without asking for special treatment, in the form of value low carb meals. So, you have a hamburger with no bun, a side salad, and a water. What a great low carb meal on the go!
If you do not want to eat at fast food restaurants, there are some other low carb meals that you can make yourself that do not take long to prepare. Salads are a great choice for quick low carb meals. Choose a variety of leafy greens, some chopped carrots and cucumbers, sliced mushrooms and tomato, some stripped low carb low fat ham, and some low fat dressing. Salads can be very delicious and very filling low carb meals that can be prepared in minutes.
You can also prepare low carb meals in a hurry by preparing in advance. Brown some lean ground beef, drain it, and stow it in the freezer or fridge in easy, one meal packets. Take some whole grain pasta and low carb sauce, and one packet of the browned meat, mix and microwave for about a minute for fast low carb meals of pasta. Or, you can take a couple of whole wheat tortillas, some of the browned meat, and some low fat cheese, wrap, and microwave for about a minute to make quick low carb burritos. These are just a couple of examples of what you can do with the browned meat to create quick and easy low carb meals.
